New ʻFishʻ in our Pond

Posted by Keli'i Kotubetey on October 31, 2013

It is our pleasure to introduce the two newest members of our Paepae o Heʻeia ʻohana. Joining us in September 2013 was Kanaloa Bishop who hails from Kaʻalaea, Koʻolaupoko. He joins our Ka ʻAi Kamahaʻo (education) team and will assist with implementing our diverse educational programs and projects at the fishpond. Kanaloa is a proud father of three children, loves to surf, and gather food from Kaneʻohe Bay. Kanaloa comes from a family of farmers and has just started a rather large garden in Punaluʻu.

We were also happy to have Sena Chung join us in October 2013 as our new Fiscal & HR Manager. She recently moved from California but is now happy to call Koʻolaupoko, Oahu her home.  Sena comes from a diverse background in business management, including operating a veterinary hospital for many years. She is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego majoring in Business Management. When Sena is not at the fishpond, she enjoys all aspects of the ocean and activities such as body boarding and snorkeling with her family.
