What better way to say thank you and honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. than spend the morning with hundreds of volunteers who gave their time to making our community a better place. On Monday January 26th 2017, almost 1,000 employees of Kaiser Permanente and Hawaii Permanente Medical Group spent their day volunteering in the spirit of aloha and healthy community. Work parties were organized in Heʻeia and Waiʻanae on Oahu, Waipā on Kauaʻi, Puʻu Waʻawaʻa on Hawaiʻi island, and Puʻu Kukui on Maui. Here at Heʻeia Fishpond, we hosted about 100 extremely energetic and excited Kaiser Permanente employees.
